After an amazing contest with more than 55 entries we managed to find the cream of the crop breakbeat trax from 4 awesome artists from various parts of the world! 3 of the top placed tunes were from the promising breakbeat scene of Russia who really has a steady feeling with the darker side of nu skool breaks! This release showscases 2 hard pumping nu skool break tunes from Russian artists "Cyberworm" and "Davip" and on the flipside 2 hardcore break tunes from Swedish breaks wizard "Processor" and Russian classic break producer "Led":
#1. Cyberworm - Critical Sound: Winning artist Cyberworm delivers the A-side track for the EP with his dark and atmospheric nu skool break tune "Critical Sound". It shows a promising new break artist who really has the finger on the pulse and knows his craft to perfection. With a pumping progressive bassline and some twisted synthlines and a booming break this baby will rock you from the first minute to the last. We will be hearing much more from Cyberworm on a solo 4 track EP that will be coming out later in 2007.
#2. Davip - Sylver: Second place in the BBP Contes07 is another dark and groovy nu skool break tune by Russian producer Davip. The melodious and progressive tune called "Sylver" is sure to work its way to your mind after just a few listens. With catchy synthlines and a hard kicking and stead break makes this track a natural born groover for the clubs and your personal playlist.
#3. Processor - My Industry: is a cool industrial/electrobreak tune with an amazing BIG sound. Processor has been in the game for 17 years now so I guess by now he is entitled to call this his industry! :) The beat is a classic prodigy-style break with a nice and hard snare that really smacks in your ear! Processor has an original style which blends a lot of the classic break elements with a twisted industrial sound! 100 % balanced tune with much originality and still catchy enough to catch the listener from the first listen!
#4. Led - Punk Rising: is a straight in-your-face classic Breakbeat tune with a heavy duty prodigy-style break and some smashing synth elements. The best word to use to describe this tune is ENERGY - raw power and no kidding around! Nice and short with everything a classic break tune should have - groovy synth and phat beat!
