The debut EP from Italian based producer/dj Break the Box on bbp recordings showcases the super fresh nu skool break style that rule the Itailen breakscene at the moment. With solid productions including a steady mind on the pulse and the beat, this release will "Break-The-Box" on any dancefloor its dropped on!
The EP kicks off with the straight-in-your-face nu skool groover "A Little More" with a pumping break and a progressive bassline. Chopping up a vocal sample and adding some spice with an acid synthline and some futuristic stabs - who can ask for more? In true BBP tradition this tune stays fresh and funky while still providing that nu
skool flavour!
The second cut on this EP "Drop The Bass" keeps the funk going with another steady funky nu skool breaker.
Adding some traditional funk element in the forms of funky wah wah guitar and "James Brown" sound-alike vocalhooks fits perfectly with the breaking box style!
Moving on to the third track "I Wanna Get You" continues without slowing down with yet another fresh
dancefloor groover! Adding a little more electro to the mix, this tune pumps on with a steady nu skool break and fresh tech bassline. Keeping it all on the spot is a nice chopped vocalhook and some twisted acid synth while remaining raw and hot!
The 4th cut on the EP shows you the true Italian break style with the progressive nu skool pumper "The
Bluff"! The producer that never allows you to sit still has electrified things by adding some dark electro elements to the cocktail of beats and bass!
